The vintage car rally, organised by the Mangalore Motor Sports Association was a major attraction. According the organisers this was the sixth consecutive year that the association is putting up this rally. The rally also featured 1942-bike, owned by one Ganapathy which was a British made "Matchless-350 cc. Another bike the Norton 500 also attracted the audience in great numbers. The oldest among them was an American World War II Ford  owned by Kiran J Bhandari who wore ankle-level boots and camouflage pants, to complete the military effect.

This time the RD Parade did not have any politicians as the state is governed by the governor under the president's rule .
